Fun Teen Contests

Contests All Summer Long!

Contests will be available at Centerville Library and Woodbourne Library. One entry per teen (students entering grades 6-12). One winner will be selected from each location.

May 13 - June 2 | Candy Guess Jar

Guess how many pieces of candy are in the jar, closest without going over wins the candy!

June 3 - June 16 | Design-a-Sticker

Design a sticker to be printed at Creativity Commons. Entries will be judged by Youth Services Department. Best entry will win a Beat-Summer-Boredom-Pack!

June 17 - June 30 | Crossword Puzzle

Solve the crossword puzzle correctly and be entered to win a trio of freebies from local restaurants!

July 1 - July 14 | Cady Guess Jar

Guess how many pieces of candy are in the jar, closest without going over wins the candy!

July 15 - July 27 | Book Cover Match

Correctly match the book cover to its title to be entered to win a Beat-Summer-Boredom-Pack!

Teen Summer Reading Club Contests

The following contests run the entirety of Teen Summer Reading Club (May 13 - July 27). One entry per teen (students entering grades 6-12).

Short Story Contest

Using the Inspiration Sheet and Entry Form found here at both libraries, teens can write a short story (up to two pages) about the world and characters created by A.I. for this year's Teen Summer Reading Club. Entries will be judged by the Youth Services Department. The top three winners from the 6-8 group and 9-12 group will win prizes.

Augmented Reality Scavenger Hunt

The characters of Teen Summer Reading Club have taken up residence throughout Centerville! Find all 8 before July 27 to win a waterbottle and candy. Scavenger hunt forms are available here at Centerville Library and Woodbourne Library.
